A.P. Giannini: Bank To The Future Conquers the Southern United States!
The journey of A.P. Giannini: Bank To The Future continues in the United States, this time with two particularly significant stops: the Nuovo Cinema Italiano Festival in South Carolina and the Tennessee International Indie Film Festival (TIIFF). Unlike previous screenings in major cities, the docu-film is now expanding into the Southern states, bringing the story of Amadeo Peter Giannini – the Italian who revolutionized American finance – to a broader and more diverse audience.
From Italy to the Southern United States
These two screenings in the so-called southern states hold unique symbolic value. On one hand, they reach out to an American region with deep cultural roots and a longstanding Italian community. On the other, they celebrate Giannini’s global legacy, a man who started as the son of Italian immigrants in California and became one of the pioneers of modern American banking.
The screening of A.P. Giannini: Bank To The Future in Tennessee is particularly significant as it coincides with 100 years of cinema in Tennessee. This is an important opportunity not only to honor the past of American cinema but also to explore the future of international collaborations and co-productions.
